Medical Assistant I - Plastic Surgery

Base Pay Range: $19.10/hr - $27.69/hr

Christiana Care is looking for a Medical Assistant Ito join their Plastic Surgery team.

Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Assist physicians during examination and treatment of patients via virtual or on‑site appointments. Provide patient care and administrative support, including: greeting patients, rooming, taking and recording vital signs; performing point‑of‑care testing, administering injections and medications, conducting EKGs; supporting clinicians during examinations and procedures; preparing treatment rooms with supplies; completing paperwork and updating electronic medical records; handling patient callbacks; managing prior authorizations, referrals, and medication refills;

scheduling tests and surgeries; performing quality control on testing equipment; documenting assistance during provider examinations; troubleshooting video visit issues; aiding patients in using Christiana Care’s Patient Portal; adhering to safety rules and reporting unsafe conditions.

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

• Excellent attention to detail, dependability, communication skills, integrity, and technical skills.
