Summary Statement

The Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN) position located at the Hudson State Service Center's Public Health Clinic will provide services such as comprehensive physical examinations, preventive health services, prescribing treatment, and lab orders. Services may include tuberculosis prevention and control, child health, immunizations, adult health, and sexual and reproductive health. APRN may participate in community vaccination clinics and disaster response. Additionally, may also provide services at other locations in other counties to support operational needs.

• Provides or evaluates direct nursing care.
• Develops, implements and/or reviews nursing care plans.
• Provides health care instruction and guidance to individuals, families, community groups and/or nursing home facilities in the management of their health care needs.
• Maintains an effective working relationship with other members of the treatment team.
• Prepares and submits records, reports, evaluations and forms.
• Participates in and make recommendations regarding quality assurance activities.

• Possession of a Delaware Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license or temporary permit for a Delaware Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license in the specialty area of Family Nurse Practitioner.
• Selective Requirements must be met in addition to the job requirements. Applicants who do not possess the selective requirement will not be qualified. As a condition of hire you must possess a valid driver's license (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).

• This is a Casual/Seasonal position which is a non-pension eligible position without healthcare and/or other benefits.

• All new hires are required to attend an in-person, statewide mandatory New Employee Orientation on their first day of employment. The session will be held at a designated location in either Kent or New Castle County.
