Role DescriptionThis is a hybrid contracted role for a Lobbyist, offering both full-time and part-time options. The Lobbyist will engage in policy monitoring, government relations, and advocacy efforts to promote the mission of the Delaware Academy of Medicine and Public Health. Responsibilities include tracking legislative proposals, building relationships with policymakers, organizing advocacy campaigns, and preparing communication materials to support public health initiatives and educational goals.
Qualifications- Strong knowledge in Delaware public policy, government relations, and legislative processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and policymakers
- Strategic thinking and organizational skills for advocacy planning and policy research
- Ability to effectively write and present reports, proposals, and campaign materials
- Proficiency in virtual collaboration tools and adaptability to hybrid work environments
- Experience in public health, healthcare, or nonprofit advocacy is preferred
- Bachelor s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Public Health, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus
