Senior Accountant - Energy - Newark, DE

A well-established energy companyis seeking a Senior Accountant to support monthly close and financial reporting processes.
The role is located in Newark, DE, and this person will be required to be onsite 1 time per week.
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure timely, complete, and accurate close and forecasting processes
Own account reconciliations and flux analysis; research and resolve general ledger issues
Lead internal and external audit processes,including SOX and tax-related requests
Collaborate with operations and finance on annual budgeting and capital spend tracking
Serve as a primary finance partner to operations, answering financial questions and supporting issue resolution
Present financial results to leadership and participate in management meetings
Support due diligence activities and acquisition integrations
- Assist with financial system upgrades and new system implementations
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 4+ years of experience
CPA preferred but not required

The approximate salary range for this position is between $70K-$100K.
