Job Summary
The Payments Control Vice President within Global Foreign Exchange Operations will play a crucial role in the smooth transfer of funds between various parties and help maintain our reputation for excellent service and secure financial transactions. You will be responsible for payment processing across FX & FXO products, performing due diligence on payment instructions, controlling funds transfer, handling exceptions, and liaising with external clients and internal groups.
Job Responsibilities- Execute high-volume and critical payment processing tasks, including validation of global currency fund transfers to ensure accurate and timely transactions.
- Process payments for foreign exchange products, performing detailed research, reviewing exceptions, and conducting client investigations.
- Identify, resolve, or escalates procedural issues or operational errors that arise during payment processing, maintaining high risk mitigation standards.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional and cross‑locational teams and clients to drive mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Detect and escalates potential payment errors to prevent financial and reputational damage.
- Contribute to process optimization initiatives to improve quality and customer experience.
- Coach, train, and mentor team members to uphold high service standards for productivity, quality, and customer experience.
- Interface with other operations departments to research and resolve inquiries, including escalated matters.
- Learn and apply skills in innovation, market product knowledge, and artificial intelligence to improve payment lifecycle processes.
- 10+ years of settlements experience with expertise in foreign exchange, derivatives, or payments operations.
- Proficiency in decision making, problem solving, and advanced analytical skills.
- Skilled in data analysis with the ability to interpret, communicate, and leverage data to inform decisions and drive process improvements.
- Proven ability to manage and develop high‑performing teams, including talent identification, recruitment, coaching, and mentoring.
- Effective communication and emotional intelligence, collaborating with management, cross‑functional teams, and stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, accountability, and integrity, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and ethical standards in settlement and payment processing.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with intermediate technical skills, willingness to work global hours, travel as needed, and maintain focus under pressure.
- Experience with Excel, Tableau, and/or Alteryx for data analysis and reporting.
