Position Description

Las Américas ASPIRA Academy is seeking a highly qualified, enthusiastic individual to serve as our Assistant Cheer Coach.

Responsibilities
  • Work with Principal, Athletic Director, players and parents to conduct the season.
  • Serve as an advocate and role model for the academic, ethical, and moral development of students.
  • Manage resources and equipment.
  • Demonstrate cooperation with other sports team coaches and support all sports programs.
  • Plan and manage training sessions.
  • Build a positive, supportive and inclusive team environment that provides for athletic enjoyment, success and challenge.
  • Ensure the health and safety of the athletes coached.
  • Follow all policies & expectations of the ASPIRA Athletics program.
Qualifications
  • Prior high school cheer coaching experience preferred.
  • Understand the characteristics and needs of the athletes coached.
  • Understand the components of a training session.
  • Appropriate communication, management and coaching skills for the athletes coached.
