TITLE: Senior Associate, Data Analytics

• Support the analytics team in conducting financial data analysis, modeling, and reporting to deliver insights and recommendations.
• Gather, clean, and prepare data for analysis, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Develop models and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making.
• Design guardrails for KPIs. Design, track and report MIS to guide business tactics.
• Track initiative performance against forecast. Optimize targeting within budget constraints.
• Create presentations on findings and provide sound recommendations to leadership to influence strategic business decision-making.
• Create and maintain data documentation, data dictionaries, and standard operating procedures.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data quality and data management processes.
• Hybrid work permitted up to 3 days per week within reasonable commuting distance of the Newark, DE office.

SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

LOCATION: Sallie Mae Bank, 300 Continental Drive, Newark, DE 19713

Education and experience: Bachelor s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Accounting, or closely related field of study and two (2) years of experience as a Data Analyst or related role. In lieu of a Bachelor s degree and two (2) years of experience, employer will accept a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Accounting, or closely related field of study.

Also requires education or experience in the following:

• SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages commonly used in analytics such as SAS;
• Data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI;
• Conduct data analysis to support business planning and decision making;
• Development and maintaining data documentation, data dictionaries, and standard operating procedures.
