Senior Accountant

Description

Robert Half is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's team in the Delaware area. This Senior Accountant role involves overseeing financial operations across multiple healthcare sites and managing a team of staff accountants. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general ledger accounting, billing, and accounts payable, along with proficiency in financial software such as Quick Books or Net Suite.

Responsibilities:

+ Supervise and guide a team of staff accountants to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

+ Manage month-end closing processes, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations.

+ Oversee general ledger maintenance and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.

+ Conduct account and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.

+ Handle billing operations and accounts payable to maintain smooth financial workflows.

+ Utilize Quick Books or Net Suite to manage accounting processes efficiently.

+  Identify and implement improvements to accounting procedures and systems.

+ Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

+ Analyze financial data to support decision-making and strategic planning.

+ Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial operations.

Requirements

The ideal Senior Accountant will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.

Other requirements for the Senior Accountant role include and are not limited to:

+ 5+ years of experience

+ Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel/Word)

+

Experience with Quick Books and/ or Netsuite preferred

+

Experience with process improvement

+ Excellent organizational and time management skills
