CNC Programmer​/Machinist IV

Overview

Role: CNC Programmer/Machinist IV at Vitesse Systems

Location:

Vitesse Systems, California (within driving distance of Newark, CA)

Shift: Day shift with extended shift, off shift, and/or weekend shift support occasionally required

$48.00/hr - $55.00/hr

• Using Mastercam, create and edit CNC programs that support the machining of complex, precision metal components on multiple-axis CNC milling centers.
• Perform technical data package review of components that require fabrication.
• Perform machining process development and optimization.
• Identify, select, and procure appropriate tooling for job-specific applications.
• Perform program prove-out validation.
• Troubleshoot and solve set-up, dimensional, and other out-of-spec features.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities and incorporate required design changes.
• Support high-performing cross-function teams to achieve program schedule, performance goals, mitigate manufacturing risks, and improve operational efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Mastery of Mastercam.
• Mastery of GD&T.
• Experience with probing.
• Experience with Fanuc controllers.
• Experience in macro programming.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of related experience.
• Must provide proof of US Citizenship or Permanent Residency to comply with ITAR requirements.
• Ability to pass a drug screen per Vitesse Systems’ drug testing policy.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check per Vitesse Systems’ policy.

The manufacturing facility may expose workers to loud noises, chemicals, and other occupational hazards; personal protective equipment may be provided by the company and at request.

This is a full-time, permanent position. This position is eligible for the employer-sponsored benefits listed above. This position is considered non-exempt hourly and eligible for overtime pay.

Pay range: $48.00-$55.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
