Visiting Professor for Business Information Systems in Bay Area Ph.D Required. DeVry University seeks industry professionals to teach undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of fields. This role requires a Doctoral degree in Information Systems or related field with relevant teaching and professional experience.

Responsibilities- Develops and provides students with an approved DeVry University syllabus that follows a campus template and includes terminal course objectives.
- Organizes, prepares, and regularly revises and updates all course materials.
- Uses appropriate online technologies and course-related software, including Websites, e-mail, and online discussions to prepare and deliver the course.
- Models effective oral and written communication to engage students and improve learning.
- Publishes course terminal objectives, assignment/examination dates, and the weighting of evaluation components.
- Ensures that content and level of material on exams align with course terminal objectives.
- Demonstrates consistency and fairness in exam preparation and grading, and provides timely feedback to students.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
- A Doctoral degree is required in Information Systems or related field (Information Systems, Database Management, Qualitative Research Methods, Applied Computer Science) with 15 graduate hours in the subject being taught.
- Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply.
- Qualifying credentials must be awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Administration, or by an international institution determined to hold equivalent accreditation.
- Faculty must have requisite subject matter expertise and outstanding communication skills.
- Visiting Professor pay is based on level, credit hours taught per 8-week session, and location.
- Pay may vary in most states from $1500-$2700 per 8-week session.
- Pay in the states of AZ, CA, IN and PA is paid at an hourly rate of either $22.00/hour or $23.50/hour.
