Transport Planner – Newark

We’re looking for an organised and proactive Transport Planner to join our client’s fast‑paced logistics operation in Newark. This is a key role where you’ll ensure drivers, vehicles, and routes are planned efficiently to keep daily operations running smoothly.

Office hours: 08:00 – 17:00 each day.

Choice of two non‑rotating shift patterns:
Monday to Friday or Sunday to Thursday.

£15.00 per hour.

• Create and manage daily and weekly driver and vehicle plans
• Allocate drivers, vehicles, and routes to meet operational demands
• Manage rotas, holidays, and last‑minute changes
• Monitor live operations and resolve issues quickly and effectively
• Ensure full compliance with Working Time Directive (WTD) and driver hours
• Maintain accurate data and reports using TMS and Excel

• Previous experience in transport planning or logistics coordination
• Strong knowledge of driver hours and transport compliance
• Confident communicator with excellent attention to detail
• Able to remain calm, organised, and decisive in a fast‑paced environment
• Comfortable using planning systems and Excel
