Transport Resource Planner

Job Overview

We’re looking for an organized and proactive Transport Resource Planner to join our client’s fast‑paced logistics operation in Newark. This key role will ensure drivers, vehicles, and routes are planned efficiently to keep daily operations running smoothly.

Office hours: 08:00 – 17:00 each day. Two non‑rotating shift patterns are available – Monday to Friday or Sunday to Thursday.

£14.00 per hour.

• Create and manage daily and weekly driver and vehicle plans.
• Allocate drivers, vehicles, and routes to meet operational demands.
• Manage rotas, holidays, and last‑minute changes.
• Monitor live operations and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
• Ensure full compliance with the Working Time Directive (WTD) and driver hours.
• Maintain accurate data and reports using TMS and Excel.

• Previous experience in transport planning or logistics coordination.
• Strong knowledge of driver hours and transport compliance.
• Confident communicator with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm, organized, and decisive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Comfortable using planning systems and Excel.
