What You Need to KnowAs a Stock and Inventory Assistant, you will receive and process department orders to ensure the collection of blood supplies from a central warehouse. This role includes basic receiving and shipping duties, stocking and processing blood‑product supplies, and troubleshooting delivery logistics to and from blood collection sites.
As a Red Cross Team member, you will demonstrate care and compassion at all times, interacting positively with internal and external customers while showing up for every shift and giving 100% of your effort.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect, verify, and report discrepancies or damaged materials and supplies against receiving documents; store and stack materials to prescribed methods.
- Fulfill daily customer orders, prepare transportation documents, and deliver materials and supplies to end users and/or departments.
- Operate Power Industrial Trucks (PIT) such as electric pallet jacks and various forklift equipment.
- Assist with systemwide electronic computer inventory management system data entry, reporting functions, and electronic inventory reconciliation processes.
- Work with ordering departments to assist in the ordering process.
- Cycle count supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with humanitarian partners to assist with disaster supplies when needed.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Monday‑Friday, 7:00 am‑3:30 pm.
Pay Information$17 hr, plus any applicable shift differentials for working late nights, over nights, and on weekends.
What You Need to Succeed- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in a regulated environment.
- Basic reading, writing, communication, math, and computer skills.
- Ability to work on a team.
* Combination of candidate's education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to the description's minimum education and general experience years combined (management experience cannot be substituted).
Physical RequirementsRequires standing, stretching, stooping, and bending for extended periods; lifting, pulling, pushing, and moving objects of up to 50 pounds; may work in walk‑in refrigerator/freezers for periods of time; may be required to wear protective clothing such as lab coats, gloves, face shields, etc.
