Shipping​/Receiving Clerk

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping & Receiving Clerk with Parts Delivery responsibilities to join our refuse body dealership team in Yaphank, NY. This position plays a key role in ensuring parts are accurately received, organized, and shipped, while also supporting customers and technicians with timely parts deliveries.

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts shipments.
• Accurately stock and organize parts in the warehouse.
• Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging.
• Process shipments using UPS World Ship, XPO, and other carrier platforms.
• Load, unload, and stage parts orders for technicians and customers.
• Deliver parts to customers and field technicians in company vehicles.
• Maintain accurate shipping/receiving records and inventory counts.
• Operate a forklift safely for loading, unloading, and warehouse organization.
• Communicate with service, sales, and parts teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Keep the shipping/receiving area clean, safe, and organized.

• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or parts handling required.
• Forklift operation experience required (certification a plus).
• Familiarity with UPS World Ship, XPO, and other freight/shipping systems required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL not required).
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and operate warehouse equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of truck/refuse body parts a plus, but not required (training provided).
