Job Description

This position is a Master‑level Technician who provides a high skill level for accurate vehicle maintenance and repairs of fleet vehicles with a focus on exceptional customer satisfaction in a cost‑effective manner. A Technician may work independently or in a team environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance: change oil, oil filter, fuel filter, transmission flush, and inspect vehicles for mechanical deficiencies; perform light and major repairs; perform advanced diagnostics; and interact with customers demonstrating exceptional interpersonal skills while maintaining the highest integrity and trust.
  • Based on certification levels, perform various repairs and maintenance including OBD II systems, brake components, tires, tune‑ups, suspension components, aerial lifts, electrical systems, State Safety Inspections, interior/exterior components, engine and drive‑line components, etc.
  • May maintain/repair equipment such as cable trailers and laptop docking stations.
  • Keep the shop area clean and tidy; perform work in accordance with safety standards; dispose of all fluids safely and in compliance with regulations.
  • Create and maintain vehicle history and maintenance records; may up‑fit new vehicles with necessary equipment.
  • Perform more complex repairs, advanced diagnostics, design, and fabrication.
  • Ensure prompt repairs by coordinating with vendors for parts and repairs; may provide roadside assistance as needed.
  • Provide custom equipment as needed by engaging in equipment design and moderate fabrication tasks, including welding.
  • Ensure availability of specialized trucks by troubleshooting and repairing complex hydraulic systems, generators, electrical systems, hybrids, and onboard computer systems.
  • Diagnose, repair, and replace general automotive parts and accessories; conduct a wide variety of diagnoses and repairs including brakes, drivability, emissions, steering/suspension, electrical, state safety and emissions testing, HVAC, major engine, and hydraulics.
  • Have medium/heavy truck experience, booms/hydraulics, electrical, and complex repairs, design, and fabrication.
  • Be skilled in diesel and transmission repairs.
  • Possess advanced knowledge and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex repairs.
  • Be skilled and able to work on multiple applications, from Light‑Duty to Class A‑Heavy Trucks, mechanical equipment, machinery, passenger vehicles, and more.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED and 5 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and 3–7 years’ experience).
  • Currently possess or be able to attain Master Level ASE certification preferred.
  • Must continue training to maintain current ASE status and adapt to technology and fleet changes.
  • Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required. Must hold a valid state‑of‑residence license and be able to obtain and maintain a Driver Qualification File.
  • Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmissions.
  • Ability to work safely in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to enter and exit vehicles frequently.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear; frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
