Transports products and supplies from distribution center to NYC bakeries along with other vendors within the tri-state area. They lead in maintaining a safe and sanitary food service environment while upholding the core values of S.W.E.E.T. and its mission of promoting brand integrity and quality.
- Use of company vehicle to deliver baked goods, merchandise, supplies and other items as requested to our NYC bakeries and other customers.
- Ensure product arrives safely, on time and in standard conditions.
- Complete appropriate delivery documentation that includes, but is not limited to proof of delivery, purchase orders and receipts.
- Ensure all items are accounted for and delivered accordingly for each transfer and/or purchase order.
- Maintain the upkeep of the company vehicle that includes cleaning, organizing, proper storage, and refueling as necessary.
- Responsible for daily inspections of vehicle pre and post shift for tire pressure, mileage, fuel level and/or other services as needed.
- Follow all NYC commercial vehicles and traffic laws.
- Determine the proper parking instructions while completing deliveries, i.e. using commercial Muni Meters to avoid parking tickets.
- Comply with Magnolia Bakery’s good manufacturing practices (GMPs) while in the production facility.
- Stand for a minimum of 8 hours.
- Occasional moderate to heavy lifting up to 50lbs, bending and reaching overhead may be required.
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, active listening ability and visual acuity.
- Continuous cross function communication with coworkers and management.
- Able to interpret visual aids, one-point lessons (OPL), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Process and Procedures (P&P), and quality and safety standards.
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.

- Hours of work for the position are approximately 40 hours per week. Must be available to work holidays and weekends
- Must be dependable.
- Follows policies and procedures as outlined in the Magnolia Bakery manuals.
- Understands expectations of role and works within the boundaries of the role.
- Clean and professional appearance.
- Active, valid driver’s license.
- Previous driver experience required. Food distribution/delivery experience is preferred.
- Drivers must be aware of NYC/DOT rules including but not limited to parking and lane restrictions, truck only routes, passenger car only routes, traffic control signals, pedestrian right of way, seat belt use, cell phone restrictions and speed limits.
- Familiarity with the NYC area, including outer boroughs.
- Good driving record which must be free of the following violations:
- License revoked or suspended to moving violations.
- Reckless driving.
- Criminal convictions.
- Driving without a license.
- Failure to report an accident or make a false report to authorities.
- Driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
- Open container violations.
- Drivers cannot have more than one moving violation or more than one accident in the past 3 years.
