Hybrid Picker & Driver (Own Vehicle) – Hewlett Pay Type

Hourly + Mileage Reimbursement

We are hiring a Hybrid Picker & Driver for our Hewlett operation. This role is responsible for picking and packing online orders in-store and then delivering those same orders using the employee’s personal vehicle. The ideal candidate is efficient, dependable, and comfortable handling both in-store fulfillment and last‑mile delivery.

• Pick online orders accurately using a mobile device/order list
• Verify item quality (freshness, expiration dates, packaging condition)
• Pack orders securely and logically (frozen/chilled/dry separated as required)
• Stage completed orders on time and in the correct area for dispatch
• Escalate substitutions/missing items per process and communicate clearly

• Load orders safely and protect product integrity during transport
• Deliver orders on time based on assigned route/sequence
• Follow delivery procedures (proof of delivery, photos/signature where required)
• Maintain professional customer service at drop‑off
• Communicate with dispatch in real time (ETAs, delays, issues) and remain reachable

• Must have access to a reliable vehicle suitable for grocery delivery (sedan/SUV/van)
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to use smartphone apps for picking/delivery, navigation, and communication
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly (cases of water, bulk items)
• Strong time management and reliability (on‑time pickups and route completion)
• High attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment
• Must remain reachable during shifts and keep required tracking/communication active
• Weekend and peak‑period availability as needed

• Experience in grocery picking, e‑commerce fulfillment, delivery driving, or gig platforms
• Familiarity with cold‑chain handling (insulated bags/coolers, separation by temperature)
• Knowledge of Hewlett and surrounding delivery areas

• Accurate picking/packing with minimal errors
• On‑time pickup and delivery performance
• Professional conduct with customers, dispatch, and store staff
• Compliance with safety, quality, and communication standards

• Shifts include a picking window followed by a delivery window
• Fast‑paced role requiring standing/walking and frequent lifting
• Must be able to work in-store and independently on the road
