CDL Class A Driver – Heavy Equipment Transport

Location: Allegany, NY

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $23.00 – $30.00 per hour (based on experience)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

We are seeking an experienced CDL Class A Driver to transport heavy equipment and materials safely and efficiently. This position involves operating flatbed trailers and winch trucks for short and long-distance hauls while maintaining full compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.

The ideal candidate has proven experience moving heavy equipment and operating a winch truck.

• Operate Class A commercial vehicles including flatbed trailers and winch trucks
• Transport heavy equipment and materials to and from job sites
• Safely load, secure, transport, and unload equipment using proper tie‑down procedures
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
• Maintain accurate driver logs and required transportation documentation
• Follow all FMCSA, DOT, and company safety policies
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and job site personnel

• Valid CDL Class A license
• Clean driving record
• Proven experience transporting heavy equipment
• Experience operating a winch truck
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and load securement standards
• Ability to pass pre‑employment and random drug screening

• Ability to climb on and off trailers and equipment
• Frequent securing and chaining of loads
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
