Job DescriptionLOGISTICS SPECIALIST (Permanent) Our client, an established global organization with a hub in WNY, is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity with a hybrid schedule to join an experienced team and growing organization.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end import shipments from origin to delivery destination, coordinating freight movements utilizing various modes of transport
- Research and review freight rates, comparing and negotiating costs where available
- Prepare/review customs documents, import paperwork, and BOLs
- Review contracts, shipment specifications, customs regulations, and tariffs to ensure each shipment is maintaining compliance
- Monitor and update tracking information, revising documentation files and adjusting shipment deadlines as necessary
- Maintain effective communication with overseas suppliers and freight forwarders ensuring on-time delivery and accurate documentation
- Manage digital files with extreme attention to detail and timeliness
- Investigate and resolve shipment issues such as delays, tariffs, delays, and various external events that arise
- Complete special projects, as needed
- Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
- Position is full-time, direct hire
- Standard 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm EST
- Hybrid (in-office Tuesday through Thursday required) after training (training is 5 days in office)
- $55,000 - $65,000 annually depending on experience; year-end bonus potential

- Associates Degree
- 2-3 years’ experience or hands-on import logistics
- Experience with customs brokers/freight forwarders, import logistics, BOLs, shipments, materials movement, etc.
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent computer skills:
Adobe PDF , utilizing multiple screens/shared inboxes - Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- Some (minimal) domestic travel
- Relocation not available
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States;
