Truck Driver Non CDL

Position Description

Immediate opening for a SOLO Non CDL Truck Driver. Join Ryder in Edgewood, NY.

Paycheck: $980 per week, or more. Pay is weekly.

• Hourly Pay: $24.50 per hour
• Hours per week: 40–50
• Paid training
• Schedule:
  
  Monday – Friday
• Start time: 5:00 AM dispatch

• Deliver SOLO to a 250‑mile radius of Edgewood, NY, including the 5 Burroughs
• Route:
  Local home daily
• Truck type: 26' box truck
• Equipment:
  Dolly and door cart
• Freight:
  Touch – windows & doors
• Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 roadside maintenance, and company drivers refuel at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide

• Uniforms, cell phone, and boot allowance provided

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months verifiable driving experience
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Must have verifiable driving experience (if operating a straight truck or box truck):
• 6 months experience in the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug, alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures

• Safely drive a vehicle within and for compliance with safety regulations, continuous training, and customer service
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records, loading/unloading freight or assisting in loading/unloading if required by customer
• Other tasks as assigned
