Responsibilities
  • Plan, forecast, and coordinate all transportation activities between the main production facility, logistics unit, and JFK Airport to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
  • Communicate transportation plans with dispatch and ensure execution according to schedule.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate team members, providing guidance and addressing questions or concerns.
  • Manage employee schedules to reduce overtime and maintain cost-efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to ramp safety standard operating procedures (SOPs) and support continuous team training.
  • Oversee operational workflow, ensuring efficient supply chain movement and timely dispatch of flights.
  • Communicate equipment orders to staff, vendors, and customers as needed.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and enforce workplace safety standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide regular operational updates.
  • Generate, review, and submit operational reports as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Ramp Safety Manager or Operations Manager.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related field, preferably as a Ramp Safety Officer.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in safety or logistics is a plus.
  • Strong planning, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage personnel effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safety standards.
  • Proactive problem‑solving skills and ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • All airport‑related positions require applicants to successfully complete the mandatory airport security clearance process for their assigned location. This includes meeting all TSA and U.S. Customs requirements, as outlined in 49 CFR §, and obtaining the appropriate airport‑issued identification badge (e.g., SIDA, AOA, or equivalent), in accordance with local airport authority regulations.
  • Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs.
