Organization Overview: The Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) is a non-profit, multi-service organization focusing primarily on the needs of children and low-income families, out-of-school and out-of-work youth, and aging New Yorkers. We operate at community centers located in the neighborhoods of East Harlem and Yorkville, and seek to deliver programs that are impactful, innovative, and intergenerational.

Purpose of Position:The Deliverer is responsible for the delivery of a daily meal to all clients on their assigned route. In addition, the deliverer will provide basic visual monitoring of their clients and report any significant changes to their direct supervisor for follow up.

Schedule: Part-time 20-27 hours per week.

Hourly Rate: $18.00

Roles, Responsibilities, and Essential Duties

• Providing efficient and safe delivery of meals within the NYC Area

• Operates a hand truck to assist when making deliveries.

• Delivers orders to the appropriate destination within a scheduled time.

• Provide professional customer service

• Keeps vehicles clean and in good operating condition, assists with the oversight of maintenance of vehicles.

• Maintains accurate daily log of deliveries.

• Interacts with staff at various locations to ensure best practices.

• Adheres to schedules and driving routes.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements:

• High School Diploma is preferred.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

• Demonstrated sensitivity to an aging population.

• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
