Position: Truck Driver - Class A Floater - Penske Logistics
Location: New York

Immediate Opportunities:
Full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers

  • Earn $87,000 annually

What you will do
  • Work at various dedicated accounts and shifts locally as needed
  • Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies
  • Unload the trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages
  • Use a scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered
Schedule
  • Dispatch times will vary depending on the work assignment

  • Late model, Penske maintained trucks

Qualifications
  • Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
  • Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-exempted interstate DOT medical card required
  • 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
  • 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
  • Must be proficient in English (required for federal law compliance)
  • Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (past employment, education, criminal history) and drug screening
  • This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Must accept responsibility for own safety and safety of others.

  • Must be able to see and hear. Required specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must move frequently, stand, walk, sit, use hands to touch, handle, feel, reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg).
  • Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle and the rear cargo area.
