Porter/Driver - Tillary Street

Bowery Residents' Committee (BRC) is seeking a dedicated Porter/Driver for the Tillary Street location. This role is vital for providing transportation and logistical support to clients and staff, ensuring safe and efficient service delivery.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with transportation of clients to and from appointments, housing placements, detox, and other placement points as needed.
• Deliver and pick up supplies and program documents to and from BRC programs and DHS facilities.
• Maintain cleanliness of both the interior and exterior of the facility.
• Receive and store all deliveries.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Hours

Full‑time 37.5 hours per week – Tuesday to Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Qualifications
  • Valid New York State driver’s license required.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Must lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Member of the Fire Safety Team.
  • Vaccination preferred but not required.
