We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse/Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the efficient flow of goods in our distribution center while ensuring timely deliveries. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in materials management, order fulfillment, and transportation planning.
Based in New York, we deliver integrated AV solutions to businesses, including commercial, academic, and healthcare clients across the wider Tri‑State area and beyond.
Responsibilities- Operate warehouse equipment and vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods within the facility and to external locations.
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize order fulfillment processes and improve overall efficiency in the distribution center.
- Maintain accurate records of freight movements, including tracking shipments and updating inventory systems.
- Implement best practices in materials management to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational performance.
- Assist in loading and unloading freight, ensuring proper handling of all materials.
- Communicate effectively with team members, suppliers, and customers regarding delivery schedules and inventory levels.
- Previous experience in a distribution center or similar warehouse environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with fleet management principles and practices is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving protocols, including freight handling procedures.
- Experience with order fulfillment processes is highly desirable.
- Ability to analyze transportation planning needs and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems; familiarity with D‑Tools, Quick Books, and/or Office 365 is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- A valid driver’s license is required; additional certifications may be beneficial.
