Bill Lake Modular Homes is hiring a versatile CDL Truck Driver / Fleet Technician to handle oversized modular home transportation and fleet maintenance. This is a hands‑on, hybrid role ideal for candidates who want to stay close to home, with routes typically within a 100‑mile radius of Sprakers, NY. About two‑thirds of your month will involve CDL driving, while the remaining days are dedicated to light mechanical work, equipment upkeep, and general facility support.

If you're an experienced driver with a background in hauling oversized or modular loads—or eager to learn—and comfortable performing vehicle maintenance and assisting with shop operations, we want to meet you.

• Safely transport modular home sections (up to 66 ft long) within a 100‑mile radius.
• Operate with escort vehicles for wide‑load deliveries (12 ft+).
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections.
• Secure modular units to trailers in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Drive and operate trailers up to 60+ ft for modular transport.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on trucks, trailers, and small equipment.
• Support facility operations such as snow plowing, equipment movement, or small projects.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with dispatchers, shop technicians, and field staff to ensure efficient delivery and operations.

• Valid CDL license.
• Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience.
• Strong attention to safety and DOT compliance.
• Comfortable lifting and moving heavy materials or equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude or interest in learning fleet maintenance.

• Experience hauling oversized or modular home loads.
• Welding, fabrication, or mechanical repair experience.
• Familiarity with facility maintenance and construction materials.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Able to prioritize safety while managing multiple responsibilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment.
• In‑person role; must report daily to Sprakers, NY facility.
