Early Childhood Sports Coach

About Us: Soccer Stars is the leading youth soccer program for children ages 12 months to 13 years in Long Island and Eastern Queens. Our acclaimed program provides an energetic, enjoyable, and age-suitable introduction to the game of soccer by providing classes, camps, and clinics held in schools, community centers, and local parks. We focus on a creative curriculum that develops soccer skills, social skills, and character, creating a positive and lasting impact on every child we coach.

The majority of classes are held during preschool, after-school hours and on weekends. The ideal candidate would have availability on some of the days and times listed below. Candidates with flexible or open/consistent availability are preferred:

• Weekdays: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM, 2:00 PM–6:00 PM
• Weekends: 8:30 AM–1:30 PM, 2:00 PM–5:30 PM

• Coaches show up on time for every class to set themselves up for success
• Coaches use individual attention to ensure every child has success
• Coaches use a non-competitive approach to ensure classes are fun with a stress-free environment
• Coaches use positive reinforcement to encourage children to do better and celebrate success
• Coaches have a blast, are open-minded, and view coaching as a continuous journey. All Coaches are open to feedback and strive to improve by attending regular trainings and following the Super Soccer Stars Coaching Manual

• Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to local schools with your own reliable transportation
• Passion for sports/fitness and working with young children, in particular ages 1-5
• Background in fitness is a plus (athletics, sports, dance, cheer, gymnastics, martial arts, exercise science, kinesiology, physical education, etc.)
• Background working with children is a plus (camp counselor, elementary education substitute teacher, coach, etc.)
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to pass a background check

• Refer a coach & receive up to $200 (candidate must work for 6 months)
