City Parks Golf typically offers free instruction to over 2,000 participants at parks and numerous golf facilities citywide and has made the sport more accessible for urban youth in the city. The program is anchored at CPF’s City Parks Junior Golf Center , a $8,000,000 state-of-the-art training facility in Brooklyn that provides free lessons and playing time exclusively for NYC children.
Since 2017, CPF has partnered with the First Tee of Metropolitan New York delivering the FIrst Tee programming pathway and incorporating its life-skills curriculum.
CPF is seeking to hire experienced players, coaches or PE teachers to provide free beginner golf lessons to children in NYC parks. Spring and Fall lessons are typically held on weekends from 9am - 4pm at one of our training facilities in Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens or La Tourette Golf Course in Staten Island and/or daily at the City Parks Junior Golf Center in Brooklyn.
Summer lessons are held on Mondays / Wednesdays or Tuesdays / Thursdays and some Fridays from 9-12 noon at NYC parks locations citywide. Instructors will be trained to teach a standardized First Tee curriculum and will be members of the City Parks Play Department.
