In addition to our swim lessons, we offer fun and dynamic Aqua Aerobics classes designed to improve fitness levels, strength, and coordination in the water. We are looking for an energetic and qualified Aqua Aerobics Instructor to join our team and inspire others to achieve their fitness goals!

Position Overview:

As an Aqua Aerobics Instructor at British Swim School Manhattan, you will lead engaging and effective water fitness classes. These classes are designed to provide a full-body workout for participants of all fitness levels while ensuring safety and enjoyment in the water.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead group Aqua Aerobics classes that are safe, engaging, and appropriate for participants of various fitness levels

• Design and implement fun, challenging, and effective water workouts

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants by enforcing water safety protocols

• Foster a positive and inclusive class environment to motivate and inspire participants

• Provide encouragement and individualized feedback to help participants meet their fitness goals

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pool area

• Attend training sessions and staff meetings as needed

Requirements:

• Certification in Aqua Aerobics, Water Fitness, or a related field (or willingness to obtain)

• Previous experience teaching or leading fitness classes, with Aqua Aerobics experience preferred

• Knowledge of water-based fitness techniques and exercises

• CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certification (or willingness to obtain)

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage students

• Friendly, upbeat, and energetic personality

• Must be able to reliably commute to our Manhattan location
