You’ll be part of a group focused on reimagining the trading experience across multiple asset classes. This team builds high‑performance, highly reliable backend systems that power real‑time trading features, low‑latency data flows, and scalable distributed services. The scope includes expanding into new asset types, new account structures, and new markets while integrating emerging technologies such as AI.

This is a hands‑on engineering leadership role within a deeply product‑driven, high‑throughput backend environment.

• Lead an engineering team responsible for building next‑generation backend systems and services that power real‑time trading experiences.
• Set and communicate a clear technical direction aligned with product strategy.
• Drive architectural decisions for distributed systems, microservices, APIs, data pipelines, and low‑latency services.
• Maintain high standards for service performance, reliability, observability, and long‑term maintainability.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with product, design, AI, data, and infrastructure teams to extend the trading platform into new markets and asset types.
• Mentor engineers at multiple levels, driving technical excellence, ownership, and strong engineering practices.
• Build a healthy engineering culture grounded in autonomy, collaboration, speed, and accountability.

• 7+ years of professional backend/software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of engineering management experience leading backend or platform engineering teams.
• Strong background in modern backend development:
• Go (Golang)
• Plus, experience with Python, Node.js, or Java is a bonus.
• Deep understanding of:
• API design, versioning, and service contracts
• Observability, instrumentation, monitoring
• Experience building and scaling systems on cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) with container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Proven ability to mentor and grow engineers and raise the bar on technical execution.
• Execution‑focused mindset with strong product instincts and the ability to make progress despite ambiguity.
