As we scale, system integrity, performance, and platform stability are foundational to user trust. We’re hiring a Software Engineer, Reliability & Platform to strengthen and evolve the technical foundation of our product across mobile, backend services, databases, and AWS infrastructure.

This is a deeply technical, cross-stack role with meaningful architectural impact.

• Swift + SwiftUI
• Node.js (Express) + Type Script
• MongoDB
• AWS (Elastic Beanstalk, EC2, Cloud Watch, Code Deploy)

You should be comfortable understanding and improving systems across the entire stack.

• Lead deep investigations into complex production issues across iOS, backend services, and cloud infrastructure
• Perform root-cause analysis spanning API layers, async workflows, data models, third-party integrations, and infrastructure
• Improve backend service reliability, correctness, and performance in Node.js + Type Script
• Optimize Mongo
  
  DB queries, indexes, and data access patterns
• Strengthen AWS infrastructure stability across EB, EC2, deployments, and monitoring
• Improve observability using structured logging, metrics, and Cloud Watch
• Reduce recurring bug classes by improving validation layers, error handling, and system boundaries
• Strengthen CI/CD and release processes to reduce production risk
• Build internal tools and scripts that improve debugging efficiency and engineering velocity
• Partner closely with product and engineering to drive platform-level improvements

• 3–7+ years of engineering experience
• Strong debugging skills in live production environments
• Deep understanding of APIs, async flows, and distributed system failure modes
• Experience building and improving services in Node.js + Type Script
• Comfort navigating and contributing to Swift/SwiftUI codebases
• Strong understanding of Mongo

• Experience operating systems in AWS environments
• Ability to trace issues across multiple layers of the stack
• Structured, systems-oriented root-cause thinking
• High ownership and strong execution in fast-moving environments

• Fintech or payments experience
• Experience improving production monitoring and alerting
• Experience hardening deployment pipelines

You will directly influence platform scalability, stability, and performance as Alinea continues to grow funded accounts and product complexity.
