We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join our Cloud Fabric team in our Platform Engineering organization. The Cloud Fabric team builds platform‑level tooling, used company‑wide to support large‑scale & complex application microservice architectures across several dozen target deployment locations under unique geographic and regulatory constraints. To support our application engineers, this team defines our microservice communication architecture via API gateways and supports our service discovery & service mesh implementations.

The ideal candidate will have the confidence to propose pragmatic solutions to complex problems and be eager to both learn from and educate others. In this role you will work amongst multidisciplinary teams, tackling complex problems to create world‑class infrastructure as we continuously build out our exciting and innovative developer experience.

Ability to work with the team to implement tools for effective service communication and service management to enhance our development processes and streamline integration.

Collaborate with fellow engineers to ensure the timely achievement of high‑integrity project deadlines.

Partner closely with Fan Duel product teams to identify and address service communication challenges and pain points.

Understand the ecosystem of Fan Duel’s complex development environment with multiple business units.

• Experience building microservice based APIs and knowledge of API patterns (OpenAPI, Graph
  
  QL, REST, etc..) and associated tools
• Hands‑on Public Cloud development (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience in supporting an API ecosystem (API gateways, etc) and/or service discovery & service mesh implementations
• Resource management and provisioning with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically Terraform
• Well‑versed with a collaboration and project management tracking tools (Confluence, Jira)
• Skilled with container technologies (Kubernetes, EKS, Docker)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
