Senior Software Engineer; Java

Our client is a respected financial institution. They are looking to hire multiple strong core Java engineers. If they have FX trading background that would be ideal. Sponsorship is not available at this time; open to GC holders and U.S. citizens only. Must be willing to work in the office (NYC‑Midtown) 3‑4 days a week. Salary range $140–$180k plus bonus (20% range) and good benefits.

• Design and develop Java‑based applications and systems from concept to deployment, ensuring scalability, security, and high performance.
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code using Java and modern frameworks.
• Perform comprehensive testing, including unit tests, and debug applications to maintain reliability and smooth operation.
• Collaborate with software developers, product owners, and QA engineers to gather requirements and deliver robust solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation, including system specifications and operational guides, for both users and developers.

• 5+ years of professional experience in Java development with a strong focus on writing optimized, maintainable code.
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot

• Proficiency in working with relational databases and managing data transactions.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities for complex technical challenges.
• Experience in designing and implementing APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and services.
