Senior Software Engineer - Broker-Dealer Clearing (BDC)

• You will solve important problems that underpin the financial system, handling tens of millions of trades per day.
• You will build highly available, scalable, mission‑critical applications in a modern technology stack.
• You will work with users to understand and define new features and drive them to completion.
• You will develop a deep understanding of the business domain.

• At least 8 years of professional experience and strong proficiency with any programming language.
• Knowledge of computer science fundamentals such as algorithms and data structures.
• High degree of self‑motivation and willingness to jump into unfamiliar areas to solve problems.
• Ability to work with stakeholders to develop new product ideas, design the technology to implement them, and see them through to completion.

• Experience building trading systems or high‑throughput streaming applications.
• Experience with any parts of our tech stack.

The Base Salary Range is $170,000 – $250,000. This represents the starting base salary for this role at Clear Street and is determined by job‑related factors such as relevant experience, skills, and location. The numbers are base salary only and do not include bonuses, equity, or other compensation.
