Founding SWE | $100k – $225k + Equity | Onsite, NYC (Stealth Startup)

OPIA has partnered with an NYC stealth startup set to revolutionize the Industrial Control Systems / Cyber Security space by building the world's next‑generation software platform for industrial systems!

With a strong founding team (ex‑Meta, AWS) and $3M in early‑stage funding, they are now seeking 2x Founding Engineers to take them from 0 to 1.

• Play a key role in building a control‑aware security platform for critical infrastructure (Python, Rust, React…).
• Solve problems across the entire stack, from low‑level network programming & protocol parsing, to building intuitive UIs.
• Design a unified data model & storage approach to scale across deployments & enable future analytics products.
• Build connectors and listeners that interface with equipment from various vendors.
• “Builder 0 to 1 Mentality” You love building things from scratch and turning vague problems into concrete solutions. Maybe you’re an ex‑Founder or early startup employee, or you’ve led a new project within a bigger company for example.
• Generalist Skills At this stage, we are seeking a broader skillset. You should be comfortable working across the stack solving a range of problems, opposed to specialising in one niche area.
• NYC Presence – This role is on‑site in NYC (5 days a week). This startup believes in close collaboration especially in these early days. You should either be located in the NYC area or willing to relocate (US only), and be comfortable with an in‑person working style.

• Minimum qualification:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree
• 1–6 years of experience across Software Engineering or related fields (interns included).
• Python & React experience essential. Rust is a nice to have.
• 0.5% to 1.5% equity (scaling)
• 401k with 4% matching and dependants coverage
