** Position Overview

** Primary Responsibilities
*** Member of the Investment Engineering Trading Services team, responsible for the full lifecycle of development tasks - analyze, design and code business-related solutions, as well as core architectural changes, using an Agile programming approach resulting in software delivered on schedule.
* Frame problems by engaging with our business colleagues, engineering, data, operations, and product management.
* Design agent workflows: decompose messy problems into well-scoped tasks.  Write crisp spec/prompts, acceptance criteria and guardrails.
* Focus on proven, tested solutions of highly sensitive trading applications.
* Build positive relationships with other team members, collaborate, and communicate effectively to reach successful outcomes.
* Utilize problem-solving skills to help your peers in the research and selection of new tools, products, and frameworks
** Qualifications & Experience
*** Strong computer science fundamentals established via a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or closely related field
* Alternatively, the candidate may have bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering combined with 2-5 years of relevant experience at a financial firm in an engineering role.
* Proficient in leveraging AI-powered development tools (e.g., Cursor, LLMs such as Claude, Sonnet, OpenAI) to accelerate software delivery through automated code generation, testing, and validation against specifications, ensuring high-quality, maintainable solutions.
* Experience building tools that programmatically call LLM APIs.
* Comfortable working in an agile software delivery environment, with Git and with exposure to CI / CD tools (e.g., Git Hub, Docker, Kubernetes)
* Strong software development experience building full-stack cloud-based applications using Python and a Type Script UI framework (Vue.js preferred)
* Familiar with automated testing techniques:
Test Driven Development, Mocking, Dependency Injection
* Demonstrated ability to build and deploy microservices in a scalable high throughput workflow.
* Passion for clean, maintainable code and always looking to improve engineering skills in fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environments.
* Demonstrated interest in finance and capital markets through studies, experience, or personal projects.
* Demonstrated ability to decompose ambiguous problems into clear, agent-executable tasks, write crisp specs, constraints, and acceptance criteria
