Platform; Backend Engineer

Platform Engineer (Python/AWS) sought for a fast-growth and cutting-edge data/AI startup in New York. This is a well-funded and former Palantir alumni founded business who have a mission to lead the transformation towards smarter more data driven work for a number of high-profile enterprise customers. We are looking for a Platform Engineer to play a crucial role in building and maintaining the core AI technologies that power the applications.

You will have the chance to work at the forefront of AI and enterprise software, creating the robust infrastructure and systems that enable the engineers to develop the software.

As a Platform (AWS) Engineer you will ideally be able to develop and maintain APIs, work on security measures and work on the deployment processes focusing on automation and observability.

Skills sought:

• Bachelors degree in Comp Sci, Engineering, Data or technical field
• 3+ years of experience in platform/software engineering with a focus on building scalable, distributed systems and platforms
• Strong experience in Python ideally (or Java/Go)
• Good understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and infrastructure/containerization technologies
• Knowledge of ML concepts or building infra/ML Ops (bonus points)
