Overview

A global institutional investment firm with over 500 professionals worldwide is seeking a Manager of Market Data Engineering to join their Technology team. The role involves overseeing the development of enterprise market data systems to support systematic research and trade execution across various strategies.

• Oversee the Market Data team responsible for delivering real-time raw and enriched market data
• Develop platforms for redistribution of real-time and historical data to users and internal systems
• Develop real-time data processing and derivation engines for various exchanges and asset classes
• Build and maintain streaming market data systems, including direct-to-exchange feed handlers
• Oversee the collection, persistence, and dissemination of raw market data through networks and messaging systems
• Build a Market Data Management team responsible for data governance, stewardship, support, and quality

• 5+ years of experience leading teams of developers in the market data space
• Hands-on experience developing real-time and historical market data systems for systematic investment strategies
• Expertise in market data feed handlers and familiarity with consolidators
• Development experience with exchange protocols such as FIX, ITCH, OUCH
• Experience with network analysis tools like Wireshark
• Understanding of networking protocols and software/hardware acceleration techniques
• Degree in computer science or related field
• Strong C++ development background

Salary: $250,000 – $325,000, Plus Bonus
