Senior API Developer - INTL India

Job Description

The API Developer will design, build, and integrate APIs to connect data and orchestrate workflows across key clinical systems, including the electronic health record, clearinghouse, and care management platforms, transforming a fragmented prior authorization process into a unified, streamlined solution.

• Design and develop RESTful APIs to enable referral and prior authorization workflows across the electronic health record, clearinghouse, and care management systems
• Support real time and batch data exchange to surface authorization requirements, clinical documentation needs, and status updates within provider workflows
• Connect backend services that orchestrate eligibility checks, clinical data retrieval, and authorization submission processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration failures, data mapping issues, performance bottlenecks, and production defects

• 7–10 years of backend and API development experience
• Strong hands‑on development experience with Java and/or Java Script
• Expertise in REST API design, development, and integration
• Full‑stack development background preferred, including experience with front‑end technologies such as React
• Experience with Dev Ops tools and CI/CD pipelines
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure, including:
  • Azure API Management
  • App Services
  • Azure Functions
• Strong debugging skills and experience supporting production systems
• Healthcare experience preferred
• Experience with healthcare integrations and platforms, including:
  • EHR (Epic, athena, Cerner)
  • EDI transactions
  • Payer Clearinghouses (Availity, Change Healthcare)
  • Health plan or provider system
