The Netflix Ads Identity, Signals and Audiences team is committed to providing a relevant and engaging advertising experience that prioritizes member privacy. Our mission is to maintain accurate member identities and curate valuable Signals and Audiences to ensure ads are engaging, optimized, and compliant with consumer privacy choices and regional regulations.
The RoleAs a Software Engineer on the Ads Identity, Signals and Audiences team, you will design and develop Netflix Conversion APIs that power Measurement, Optimization, Retargeting and Reporting capabilities. Responsibilities include building high-volume, low-latency services capable of ingesting consented user engagement events from Advertiser properties in near-real-time. This ingestion will support methods such as server-to-server streaming, pixel requests, and batch uploads. You will collaborate with a skilled team dedicated to ads technology and user privacy, in a culture that promotes continuous learning, diversity, and creativity.
RequiredExperience And Skills
- Conversion API and Event Processing:
Experience building server-to-server, batch and pixel Conversion APIs. This includes processing conversion events from diverse sources to create high-fidelity, identity and attribution-enriched, and deduplicated "gold" data sets for downstream services. - Unlocking Conversion Value:
Expertise in leveraging conversion events to enable valuable derivative services, such as retargeting and outcome-based optimization. - Streaming Architectures:
Practical experience with streaming event architectures and related technologies (e.g., Kafka, Flink). - Ad Tech and Privacy Knowledge:
Strong understanding of the ad technology and advertising landscape, including programmatic advertising and current digital marketing trends. Familiarity with global ads regulations, privacy, consent, and legal compliance. - Collaboration and Communication:
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively across diverse, cross-functional teams. - Adaptability:
Ability to thrive and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Familiarity with clean rooms and industry-leading privacy-enhancing technology for multi-party data sharing.
- Experience working in the CTV space and knowledge of its unique constraints.
Generally, compensation is structured as an annual salary; bonuses are not offered. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. The compensation range for this role is $ - $.
