Join the Zappos Family of Companies as a Software Development Engineer II (SDE2) on our iOS Mobile team to help us deliver unparalleled shopping experiences.
At Zappos Tech, we're on a mission to deliver unparalleled shopping experiences to our customers. We're seeking an SDE2 on our iOS Mobile team. You will contribute significantly to software development of the Zappos iOS app, spanning the entire customer journey from the homepage to checkout: search, search results, ads, widgets, recommendations, and more. Key Job Responsibilities- Develop and maintain native iOS apps using XCode, Swift, Swift
UI, Objective‑C, UIKit, Cloud Kit, Core Data, Core Animation. - Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to create optimal customer experiences and guide technology choices.
- Coach and guide teammates, maintaining high coding standards and practices.
- Address complex issues, balancing business needs with technical solutions for scalability and future growth.
- Uphold best practices and promote them within the team.
- Continuously learn and contribute to the team’s strategy and goals, fostering an inclusive and growth‑oriented environment.
- 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) for new and existing systems.
- Experience programming with at least one programming language.
- 3+ years of Apple platform development experience.
- 3+ years of full software development life‑cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.

Compensation and BenefitsOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including location and may vary upon skill level. This position may include equity, sign‑on payments, and other benefits as part of a total compensation package.
