Overview
Razor is looking for an Integration Engineer with FHIR/API experience who designs, develops, and supports FHIR-based APIs for Eligibility, Prior Authorization, Bulk Data, and Document Reference workflows within a health insurance interoperability ecosystem.
Education & Certification RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
No certifications required; none preferred.
100% Remote
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and deploy FHIR APIs
- Build and maintain API clients and integration interfaces
- Configure/manage API gateways
- Implement secure authentication: OAuth2, SMART on FHIR, mTLS
- Develop logging, monitoring, and error handling frameworks
- Support provider onboarding and certification
- Collaborate with product, compliance, and infrastructure teams
- Troubleshoot integration issues
- Contribute to API documentation and implementation guides
- 3+ years API/system integration experience
- HL7 FHIR R4 experience
- RESTful API development in healthcare
- Strong understanding of OAuth2, OIDC, SMART on FHIR, mTLS
- Experience with API gateways (Apigee, Kong, AWS, etc.)
- Experience with JSON, XML, healthcare data standards
- Familiarity with CMS Interoperability & Prior Auth regulations
- Payer‑side interoperability experience
- Knowledge of X12 (270/271, 278)
- Experience with Bulk FHIR workflows
- Cloud‑native development (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- CI/CD and Dev Ops experience
