About The Team

The Web Recommendations team is dedicated to elevating the end‑to‑end user journey within a large‑scale online marketplace, with a focus on delivering high‑quality discovery experiences. The team works to reduce friction throughout the buying process, ensuring users have a seamless and inspiring path from exploration to purchase. In addition to improving user experience, the team invests in performance optimization and scalable architecture to support future product innovation.

This is a cross‑functional product development group made up of engineers, product managers, designers, product marketers, data analysts, and user researchers. The team collaborates closely and relies on data insights, user interviews, experimentation, and rapid iteration to continuously enhance the customer experience.

We are seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer with strong web development experience. This individual will quickly ramp up within an established codebase, independently drive execution, and contribute to moderately complex, loosely defined initiatives. The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating ambiguity, influencing technical direction, and delivering high‑quality solutions with minimal oversight.

• 4+ years of professional web development experience, with a desire to grow within a collaborative team environment.
• Hands‑on experience building web applications across both backend and frontend technologies (including PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and React).
• Strong collaboration skills, with experience partnering closely with Product Managers and Designers to provide technical input, estimates, and solution ideas that shape roadmap decisions.
• Proven ability to take ownership of work from concept through delivery.
• Clear, thoughtful, and transparent communication style.

• Experience with Type Script, Scala, Airflow, or a foundational understanding of machine learning concepts and recommendation systems.
• Passion for solving customer‑centric product challenges with equal attention to product quality and engineering excellence.
• Comfort leveraging both quantitative and qualitative insights to inform experimentation and decision‑making.
• Interest in mentoring others while continuing to learn and grow professionally.
