As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll work closely with engineering, product, and clinical leaders to build and deliver backend systems powering essential healthcare services for thousands of patients.

• Architect and implement stable, scalable backend software to deliver critical healthcare services.
• Lead and consistently deliver on project sprints across backend infrastructure.
• Own specifications and tickets with autonomy, driving projects from design to deployment.
• Balance speed and quality, focusing on delivering tangible, high-impact results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinicians and operations to refine product functionality.
• Identify and close gaps in specifications or business logic to ensure technical solutions meet real-world needs.
• Extend the capacity of the Head of Engineering by managing and executing key backend initiatives.
• Promote a collaborative, growth-oriented engineering culture.

• 5+ years of experience building complex backend services for mobile, web, and data platforms.
• 2+ years of technical leadership experience, managing or mentoring engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and software engineering principles.
• Demonstrated success shipping large-scale web services with a user-centric approach.
• Ability to work autonomously and organize work effectively in a team environment.

• Experience in health tech or at an early-stage startup.
• Familiarity with Graph
  
  QL and REST web services.
• Experience with real-time data streaming and event-driven architectures (e.g., Apache Kafka).
• Hands-on expertise with AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Postgre
  
  SQL, Elasticsearch, and mobile/web frameworks (Type Script, React, Flutter).
