Senior Data Engineer

We’re working with a product-led organisation building AWS-native data platforms that power analytics and machine-learning use cases in a regulated environment.

They’re looking for a senior Data Engineer with strong software engineering foundations who can own data architecture end-to-end
, design and deploy production-grade pipelines, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

• Designing, building, and maintaining scalable data infrastructure
• Deploying data pipelines across AWS (Glue, Lambda, EKS/ECS)
• Cleaning and transforming data for engineering, analytics, and AI teams
• Building reusable features for ML feature stores (Feast or equivalent)
• Making database and tooling decisions across cloud and on-prem environments
• Monitoring data quality, performance, and integrity in production

• 3+ years as a Data Engineer and 8+ years in software engineering
• Strong data modeling, architecture, and system design skills
• Deep AWS experience (Glue, Lambda, EKS/ECS)
• Proficiency in SQL and Python (Golang a plus)
• Experience with MySQL, Snowflake, Cassandra, and familiarity with graph databases (Neptune / Neo4j)
• Strong understanding of PII, data governance, and secure data handling
• Confident communicator with non-technical stakeholders

This is a 12-month contract-to-hire role paying $75/hour
, based in New York
, with 2–3 days onsite
