Lead Full Stack Engineer - React, Node

Our Client is an applied AI HCI company building the worlds most powerful creative tools. The best creative AI models into a Figma-like infinite canvas, enabling users to connect workflows that automate entire creative processes. Backed by top VCs (Hanabi led by Mike Volpi, Menlo, a16z Speedrun, Long Journey) and angels from Midjourney, Stability, and Pika, Company's mission is to make AI tools collaborative, accessible, and category-defining.

The team includes ex-Stripe, Google, and OpenAI engineers with a proven track record of building and scaling iconic products.

• Build and scale distributed systems that are robust, reliable, and performant.
• Design and implement backend systems and services with Node.js and Next.js, supporting front-end features in React and Type Script.
• Ensure data flow, routing, and pipelines are efficient, scalable, and resilient.
• Collaborate with a product-minded team to create delightful and usable features.
• Contribute across the stack as needed, with strong emphasis on backend development.
• Potential to grow into Head of Engineering.

• 8+ years of experience as a full-stack or backend engineer.
• Strong backend expertise, with focus on distributed systems design and scaling.
• Deep proficiency with React, Next.js, Type Script, HTML, CSS.
• Experience with Node.js and Postgres.
• Strong system design knowledge for structuring data flows.
• Product-minded with attention to usability and user delight.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

Preferred:
CS or similar degree from a top-tier university (MIT, Waterloo, Stanford, Berkeley, CMU, etc.)
