Your

core objectives

• Architect and scale our core AI products

• Design and build robust backend systems that power our AI agent's interactions across multiple communication channels

• Integrate new third-party APIs and ship resident-facing features end-to-end

• Implement scalable data processing pipelines to handle resident communications and workflow automation

• Help define our early engineering culture, tooling, and best practices

What we're seeking

We're more interested in someone who is hungry, learns fast, and can deliver at a fast-growing startup than someone whose resume checks all the boxes.

• Innovative problem solvers: We're looking for engineers who reach for simple design over heavy abstractions and who believe AI enables small groups to out-execute big organizations

• Ownership-minded contributors: We need team players who are proactive, take ownership, communicate effectively, and balance quality with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment

• Someone who also:

  • Has 5+ years of backend development experience

  • Is proficient with Python

  • Has proven success integrating third-party APIs and building scalable systems

  • Can own infrastructure end-to-end

  • Is willing to work in person at our NYC headquarters with the team (4 days in office / 1 flex)

  • Has startup experience

Nice to have:

• Experience developing or integrating LLM-based applications

• Familiarity with property management systems (e.g., Yardi, Entrata, Rent Manager)

• Mentorship and hiring experience

• Full-stack experience

• Strong product intuition

• Real estate background

Compensation range:The salary range for this role is $160,000 - $200,000. Domos offers a competitive compensation package which includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Exact compensation is determined based on a number of factors including experience, skill level, and qualifications which are assessed during the interview process. Additional details about total compensation and benefits will be provided during the hiring process.
