  • As the Lead Software Engineer specializing in Compute and Operations with a heavy focus on Audio/Video Conferencing within Microsoft Teams, you will lead the seamless integration and optimization of audiovisual technology for virtual meetings.
  • This position requires 100% onsite presence and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Your expertise will be crucial in orchestrating live virtual meetings using Microsoft Teams, Vizrt Tricaster, and other industry-standard hardware and software, fostering rich collaborative experiences.
  • Your responsibilities will include configuring audio and video settings, troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring impeccable audiovisual quality, and providing user support.
  • Collaborating closely with internal teams, you will tailor solutions to meet their communication needs, leveraging the robust features of Microsoft Teams and Newtek Tricaster.
  • Furthermore, you will serve as the primary technical support contact for our Senior Executives, CEO, and other key executives at our primary New York locations.
  • Your expertise will be central to enhancing meeting experiences and driving effective collaboration across our digital ecosystem.
  • Travel between Manhattan and Long Island City locations will be required.
  • You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the design of a new project for a 200-500 seat atrium, to be utilized as an auditorium/training facility.

This role reports to the Tech Manager, Audio/Video Conferencing.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to align environment management practices with overall software development and delivery processes.
  • Support, maintain, and integrate client-server architecture, including hardware platforms, client applications, server services, and OS.
  • Direct, manage, and implement wiring installations as needed.
  • Maintain and support equipment hardware and software installations for live webcast events, conference room systems.
  • Read and interpret circuit diagrams and electrical schematics to implement webcast events and broadcasts.
  • Lead enterprise-level projects related to Conference Support/Media Delivery platforms, including conferencing platforms, content delivery, and audio/video streaming.
  • Plan and execute existing technical and operational infrastructure suite used across our communication platforms.
  • Research, evaluate, and test hardware, OS, NOS, and applications.
  • Recommend new/upgrades to hardware, OS, NOS, and applications.
  • Prepare documentation for standards, implementation procedures, and troubleshooting in support of new technologies, applications, OS, and NOS.
  • Consistently demonstrate regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
Qualifications
  • 5-8 years of experience supporting live events via Microsoft Teams.
  • Minimum of 3 to 4 years of Video Conference Bridge experience.
  • 3 to 4 years of experience with Microsoft Operating Systems or Unix, including LAN implementation/support.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of client-server hardware platforms.
  • General knowledge of LAN/WAN components.
  • Intermediate level analytical, problem-solving, multitasking, and time management skills with consistent attention to detail.
  • Intermediate level understanding of analytical techniques.
  • Intermediate level understanding of video conferencing technologies.
  • Intermediate level leadership, organizational, teamwork, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels.
  • Intermediate level presentation and written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical issues and solutions to all levels of business.
  • Ability to effectively share technical information and train/mentor less experienced team members.
  • Position requires 100% onsite support for multiple locations.
