Location: New York
Job Title: React JS Developer – DCP Manual
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote)
Hours: 35 hours/week (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, includes one-hour unpaid lunch)
Engagement Type: Contract (Hourly)
Per hour: $25 to $30 per hour
The New York City Administration for Children’s Services (ACS), Office of Information Technology (OIT), is seeking a seasoned React JS Developer to support the enhancement, maintenance, and modernization of the DCP Manual application. The selected candidate will work on software development and application enhancement initiatives to support ACS’s mission of protecting and promoting the well-being of children and families.
Scope of Work- Upgrade .NET versions and related libraries to the latest stable releases, including identifying and resolving cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
- Develop and upgrade reports using tools such as Crystal Reports, Microsoft SSRS, or Oracle BI Publisher.
- Design and develop stored procedures and functions using Oracle PL/SQL.
- Develop new features and enhancements while maintaining and supporting an existing microservices architecture.
- Support a mobile‑friendly, web‑based application built using React JS, ASP .NET, and Mongo
DB, deployed on a Windows IIS server. - Ensure newly developed code maintains or improves functional equivalence, performance, and efficiency.
- Design and implement offline application functionality using Progressive Web App (PWA) technologies.
- Proven experience developing mobile and web‑based applications using React JS, .NET Core, and Mongo
DB. - Hands‑on experience with ASP .NET, Oracle databases, and enterprise reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of IIS server administration, Dev Ops CI/CD pipelines, microservices architecture, and API development best practices.
- Demonstrated experience implementing offline application availability using Progressive Web Apps.
- Experience with application performance tuning and optimization.
- Proficiency in React JS, ASP .NET Core, and Progressive Web App development.
- Strong expertise in Mongo
DB, Oracle SQL, and relational/non‑relational database concepts. - Knowledge of data modeling, database design, and schema creation.
- Experience using Veracode or similar tools for cybersecurity vulnerability identification and remediation.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and collaboration tools.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Candidate must provide references from previous clients where similar projects were successfully completed.
Compensation: $30.00 per hour
