Senior Software Development Engineer

• Model a rich and expansive domain and design data models for the post‑production domain.
• Own implementation of features, working with designers, product owners, and other engineers.
• Contribute to the Elixir codebase, building new services and maintaining a large, concurrent, fault‑tolerant system.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers, providing technical leadership and code review.
• Help shape engineering practices, architecture decisions, and quality standards.

• Extensive experience designing and developing large‑scale web application backend systems.
• Deep system design knowledge, including scalability, performance, and fault tolerance.
• Experience with Postgre
  
  SQL or MySQL, including manually written queries for performance.
• Experience modifying or migrating legacy components with minimal downtime.
• Strong ability to analyze difficult problems across the backend.
• Experience in Elixir or a comparable functional programming language; deep desire to learn.

U.S. pay range: $139,000 – $257,550 per year. Pay varies by location and may depend on experience. In New York: $177,900 – $257,550.
